Hey, friend. You know those weeks that feel like you’re in a time warp? And time is passing by outside of you but within you’re just doing your thing? That’s been me this week. Maybe it’s the way I’m made (manifesting generator) that I focus in on things deeply sometimes, or maybe it’s the time in my cycle (follicular phase) where I just feel like I can get everything and anything done at once. So, everything I’ve done this week has been deeeeeep and I’ve loved that energy. I’m also gearing up for our trip to Europe, we leave next Friday, and so making sure everything is lined up for that. Overall, it’s been a busy but fulfilling week. Onto the simple things…
The WOMAN in her body class. This has been hands-down what I’m most excited to share with you! I’ve been anticipating this class I’ve known nothing about for weeks now, but I knew it was going to be good because it’s hosted by Kori Meloy and Niecia Nelson. They did a podcast episode together a while back and it was incredible, so when I saw them announce a joint event I signed up almost immediately. I don’t want to tell you too much about what it is because it’s hard to describe, but if you’re interested in listening to a 3-hour workshop about feminine energy, metabolic health, motherhood, sexuality, and embodiment, this is a must-watch. I am not kidding when I tell you I took 7 pages of notes (and I’m not a big note-taker). I emailed them afterward and said, “Whatever you offer in the future, go ahead and sign me up.” It was a live event on May 19th, but you can now purchase the recording and watch whenever. Let me know if you do because I’d love to chat about it with you!
I told you guys last week that I was on a hunt for some outfits for our trip, and I finally took the plunge and ordered some dresses and a few pairs of pants from this cute company. Neuflora is unique because they offer capsule collections each month for you to shop. I happened to love everything they released in the month of May, so it was perfect.
A little corner shop in our town has been selling these adorable pons shoes for a few years and I’ve always been eyeing them in the window, but never buying. This year I decided to go for it because they seem like the perfect sandal to log many miles of European cobblestone streets on. I ended up getting a pair for Maverick too, so I can’t wait for us to match!
I really want to get into a good series to read on my kindle on our long flights, but I couldn’t really find anything I hadn’t already read or that sounded interesting to me. So, I decided to dive back into Outlander. I started reading it probably a year ago and made it through half of the first book, then watched half of the first season of the show. There’s something about it that reels me in with the characters and storyline, but also the detail and the long paragraphs of history kind of bore me (is that horrible to say?). So, if you’ve read it can you tell me it’s going to get to that addicting level of reading? Or, can you recommend your favorite series to binge?
Maverick has had about a week-long stretch of horrible sleep (waking up every hour or two). She’s not a great sleeper, to begin with, but this past week felt borderline painful. Thankfully, last night we finally had a great night where she woke only twice and I feel like a new human. It’s insane what good sleep can do for you, I feel so much more clear-headed and just ready to take on the day. Plus, I feel like I can be a more present parent when I sleep. Oh, these toddlers and their wild sleep antics. At least she keeps me on my toes.
And there you have it! I’d love to know what magically mundane thing you’ve experienced this week that has brought you joy.
I really enjoy these posts! And that clothing shop looks beautiful 😍
