Hi friend! How are you? My week has been very up and down. I’m not sure what it is about my ovulation phase but I tend to get unfocused around this time of the month. I struggle to bring all my thoughts together and form cohesive sentences, so I just kind of coast through everything as best I can, constantly daydreaming and not really following through on much. I’m trying to honor this part of myself while also getting the things I need to get done, done. It’s a balancing act, as always.
This week I’ve decided to compile a lot of recommendations for you. I’ve been listening to some amazing podcasts and reading beautiful words here on Substack, so I wanted to share what I’ve been loving with you. Hope that’s okay.
Thank you, as always, for being here. And I’d love to know what in your life was magically mundane this week.
By now you guys know my love for Ordained Priestess, Sarah Jenks. I’m in her Holy Woman community and am just really called to everything she shares. Well, she was on a podcast this week and it was SO good. If you want an overview of the Priestess world and an inside look into what she does, this is such a great listen (or watch on YouTube). She also discusses the history of the Sacred Feminine and the whole episode is just so juicy.
When I tell you I SOBBED listening to Rachel Brathen’s birth story, I kid you not, it was incredible. I was on the edge of my seat throughout this whole retelling of her magical free birth, and the way she tells the story is just breathtaking. Such a beautiful listen.
- started a beautiful thread on Notes this past week called “Synchronicity Sunday” where everyone shared incredible synchronicities that have happened in their life. If you want proof of real-life magic, just read through the responses here.
This post from
about ways we reject “the village” (we say we want) is such a powerful read. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it and really consider where in my life I am with my own village, and how I want to grow that and support others in the future.I loved reading this post from
titled Is It Slow? Or Is It Living? about the ways we can show up with a slow living mindset even in the intense moments of actually living. I definitely try to advocate that slow living isn’t about truly living slowly (though sometimes it is!), but about embracing the present moment as best we can and applying that presence to our lives even when things are hectic, or spiraling out, or just not very slow at all. Brooke speaks directly to that and I love her insight.
And there you have it! I’d love to know what magically mundane thing you’ve experienced this week that has brought you joy.
Thank you so much for including my note, Hunter! 🤗🥰 I have really loved reading everyone's synchronicity stories this week and can't wait to see what else comes up. And I love Sarah Jenks too! Her work has really helped me embrace the title of Priestess. ♥️♥️♥️♥️
I adore Rachel/Yoga Girl! I follow her on Instagram 💛
