Hi there! I’m Hunter. I’m a mother of a two-year-old daughter, married to my British husband, and we live in Northwest Florida along the beautiful white, sandy beaches. I share about sacred & slow living as well as my own personal journey in being a mother and a creative. Make sure to subscribe to have my posts delivered directly to your inbox. I’m so glad you’re here.
Mmm, hello friend. I feel like we all need one big collective sigh for this week. Shake out our shoulders and let life loose a bit. I always think I’m okay with winter until we start to get to small signs of spring and I realize I’ve been showing some seasonal depression symptoms, so really exploring that and focusing on going easy on myself.
How are you feeling? Are you enjoying this winter, or ready for spring to arrive?
On this week’s simple things…
S - Sharing - an exciting new personal discovery, the best blanket, and something for your sourdough.
L - Loving - my newest digital obsession & something to keep your drinks warm.
O - Observations - the wonder of being a kid, rainy days, & book talks.
W - Wisdom - a very specific tour guide of one of my favorite cities & how to grow your membership space here.
SHARING //
Okay this isn’t technically a link to share but I’m sharing that we have a new Barnes & Noble going in at my local shopping center. I repeat, A NEW BARNES & NOBLE and I’m so excited this Kindle girl might turn into a physical copy reader again. We used to have a giant Borders, which is where I went to the midnight premiere of Twilight (yes, I went to midnight premieres for books, I was a cool kid) and when it closed I legit cried. Our closest larger bookstore is 45 minutes away, so the fact that this one is going in and is only 10 minutes away makes me SO excited. They are doing a grand opening and I think I might go, even though none of my book friends are going to be in town. Is it weird to go to a bookstore's grand opening by yourself? Hmm.
I practically live in my fleece blanket in the winter months. The one I have isn’t sold anymore but I came across this one recently that looks equally cozy and warm, so I might have to order it.
You guys know how much I love my sourdough, and while it’s so easy to make using kitchen items you already have, it’s also fun to sometimes get some things specifically for your bread. This bread warmer & basket is SO cute, and is from a beautiful sustainable brand.
