Welcome To The Magically Mundane
Since becoming a mother, I feel like I've been reborn into something entirely new myself.
I know, it’s been forever since you’ve seen one of my letters flow into your email. A few weeks turned into months and turned into years of me creating and brainstorming and then not really making much of anything. I’ve had ideas out of the wazoo, but no real tangible evidence to prove them. Other than I grew a human. That’s pretty impressive in itself. She’s 16 months old now and the ruler of my world in all the best ways.
I’ve dabbled in different ideas, grown my photography business, chugged away at my day job, and tried creating offers and opportunities galore. But nothing stuck. Then, I discovered this new platform called Substack. If you’re reading this over email, you’re probably like, “what is that?”
Well, it’s a newsletter subscription platform. You sign up, just as you have, and get my emails delivered to your inbox. But the exciting part of Substack is that they take newsletters up a notch. There are options for podcasts and videos, and even paid subscriber options where you can see special extra content as it’s created.
It seems to be like a beautiful platform to be on as a creative, and if you’ve ever enjoyed my musings in the past I’d encourage you to stick with me. I have lots of plans for this space and I’m excited to see them unfold.
Becoming a mother has turned my world upside down and has me re-examining everything in my life. My focus is zooming into all new ways and I am even more passionate about certain things I only slightly cared about before. So expect lots of notes on slow living, manifestation, self-care, and a little bit here and there on motherhood (when I’m feeling inspired).
I’ve decided to call my new newsletter (new newsletter, say that 5 times fast) The Magically Mundane.
Because that’s all I’m ever really looking for.
Finding the joy in those simple everyday moments.
If you love a website feel, then I hope you’ll check out my previous posts directly on Substack and have a look around. I tried to make it feel like my little corner of the internet. A place to call home.
I truly am so grateful you’re here, and I hope I can bring you a steady stream of emails you’ll actually care about reading (I see your junk folder and I definitely don’t want to wind up there).
That’s all for now. Let’s speak again soon.
