Love that you shared this while you're still exploring it! Reminds me that I don't always have to have the answers!

Aw thank you! It definitely felt weird sharing without a “this is what I’m doing” ending, but I guess that’s just life. We’ll see where it takes us!

No way! My husband grew up in Consett, and then we rented a place in Jesmond for three years and he lived there while we waited on his visa (and I lived there when I was over there)! What a small world! Where are you living now?

Ahh small world! I lived in Jesmond and then the West Road then Gateshead then Heaton then Gateshead again. We are in Northumberland now - when I met my husband we bought a doer upper ex mining terrace and made it our dream family home. 🏡

Ooh that’s amazing!!! It’s definitely my dream to find a fixer upper in the countryside there one day ❤️

It’s been lush and a total adventure! A hard start but I wouldn’t change any of it for the world. It’s made me truly slow down. ✨🗺

I bet it's a ton of work, but so rewarding!! So glad you've been able to find the joy in the process too.

Hi Luisa! Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Ah yes, it's such an interesting conversation to have! And there is definitely so much beauty to be found in the comfortable spaces too. I think we can find just as much growth and magic there if we're aware.

That's so amazing about being in your area for 7 generations! You truly are very rooted there. How beautiful! I'm sure you feel such a deep connection to the land.

What's really interesting that you reminded me of, is my sister did the 23andme test a few years ago, and found out that she had like 15% match in DNA from Northeast England! We knew my Grandmother's side has an English background but that just blew our minds. So maybe I'm more connected to there than I thought. But, Florida is also a deeply rooted place for me. Ah, I could go back and forth forever. Haha
