Aw a beautiful catch up. The spring bulbs are on their way and I have a vase full of daffodils. I hear you on the night feeding - I’m probably ready to gentle stop here too but I’m not sure my feisty daughter will take to it. I’m hoping to transition her to her own bed and combine the excitement of it with stopping.
Aww I need a vase of daffodils in my life. Haha, maybe they'll sell them at the market this weekend. Oh man, yeah mine is a feisty one too. We've successfully gotten her to drink water out of sippy cups for the last two nights, so I'm still waking up to give her those but I feel like it's progress and hopefully she'll lose interest in just water and start doing longer stretches. A mama can dream, at least 😂
I think it’s a beautiful technique - I wonder if I can convince Luna... I often feel like there’s really no support for this part and that’s why I just carry on... in the beginning you’re inundated with people trying to help...
Oh 100%! And all my other friends that had babies around the same time as me decided to do traditional sleep training and never co-slept so there's not really anyone doing this part of it with me. I'm not sure if Luna does any other type of milk, but you could try starting with a sippy cup with milk in it to entice her more? It's such a trial and error game, I feel like haha
Yes she does have some raw milk from the local farm in a cup or a bottle no probs. I think she’s almost sleeping when she’s crying out for milk and then if I don’t give her it she fully wakes up. Maybe day time weaning will be the easiest first. ✨🌸
Oh yes, Maverick has that same issue. She's like pretty much asleep but just fussing for it and if I don't give in she'll quickly start crying full out. I tried the water thing before and it didn't work, but for some reason now she's taking to it (at least the last two days haha). Who knows with these kiddos. Good thing they're so cute!
