This is such a beautiful story, Hunter. Your timing is impeccable, as always. I've been reflecting recently on the stories I can remember about my grandparents and other family members, and wishing I'd paid more attention. I do have a few favourites, though, and am looking forward to sharing one later this month. 🖤

I can't wait to read your story later this month! How beautiful. I know, there are so many times we realize it and it's too late, so I definitely hope to capture more of my Grandmother's stories as quickly as I can.

So beautiful Hunter. Thank you so much for sharing. I just finished writing a little letter on carrying on. My father’s legacy. It’s been something I’ve really been thinking about and feeling called to explore since his passing in October. Your stories hit home for me, right in my heart, and it was so lovely to feel your kindred spirit. Please keep telling stories and sharing. ❤️

Thank you both Liz and Hunter for your posts today... I felt them both deeply having suddenly lost my Mum a few years ago. She was everything. We are so lucky to love so deeply, but it is a life changing loss. It is so important to keep their legacy and stories with us.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Emily. I'm sure she was an incredible woman. We are so so lucky to have loved them, but the reality of life and therefore death is also extremely hard. I'm grateful we're all able to keep their legacies going in some way. Sending you love.

Love this. I too have acquired the mantle of family story holder. The urge to write all the snippets and tales for future generations grows stronger...

Beautiful Hunter. From the other side it makes me wonder about the items, and stories and magic, that I will leave for my son when my day arrives.
