Good morning Hunter - Reading this warms my soul. I am from Massachusetts originally, but have lived in South Florida since I was 12. I have never been able to get used to the holiday season here. It just isn't the same. I miss the leaves and the fall of the temps. The cool, crispness of the new fall air. My coat over my costume on Halloween. The snow....oh how I miss the snow falling... and the crackling of a fireplace. Ahhhhh, October. At least we will can look forward to the lowering of the humidity levels and better hair days ahead here : ) P.S. The image is magic!
Aw I feel you! We live in North Florida so even though I talk about the cool weather, it's not THAT cool, you know? I'm still wearing tee shirts and shorts in the middle of the day. Haha
But I totally know what you mean!! We are going to my husband's side of the family in England this year for Christmas and I can hardly waitttt for the cold and maybe even some snow!
It's definitely the hardest part about living in Florida! But yes, I can't wait for the humidity to leave soon!!

Hunter, this is so beautiful! Breathtaking moments of autumn and oh I could feel the coziness inside and almost smell the strew on the plates ready to eat.
You’re further ahead in autumn it seems so this felt like a sweet taste of what’s to come here soon. Our September has been so warm that leaves are only slowly turning colourful. No frost yet. I had forgotten how much I love these days.
My version of autumn is a bit exaggerated haha as the days are still getting pretty warm. But the mornings have been super crisp and cool which has been sooo nice!
Is baked apples filled with nuts and raisins (cooked or anyything else you fancy as a stuffing) something you have as a tradition in autumn and winter?
Maybe just in my family buts what you described as your autumn day sounds like the perfect day for it and with a bit of vanilla custard it’s a dream 🍎
I'm taking in those first few sunrise hours to feel the cool air before the heat returns for the middle of the day! But I'm loving it. I think because we're so close to the beach it brings the cooler air in quickly.
