I completely resonate with that joy of starting a new book -- embarking on that little voyage.

Yes. The joy of checking out a pile of books at the library, when you can't wait to get home and start reading them.

How beautiful! It's the little things that make a big impact. I always enjoy how nature almost casually shows her beauty. I am currently traveling Ireland and here I enjoy a good Shepherd's Pie. And water. Whether for drinking or in a river or as the ocean, water holds big big magic. 🙏 For me it is so beneficial to see the world through Love's eyes. 🥰

Ahh yes, getting sucked into a fiction book is just the best. I just started For The Wolf by Hannah Whitten and am really enjoying it so far! Which book did you read?

And those moments with other parents are just the best.

Beautiful simple things you mentioned. A small little supportive comment like that can really make our day. If you (or anyone else) need to hear it: you got this! Substack seems to have so many supportive communities with people who've got our backs. I’m glad to be a part of it 💚

It was a really sweet moment in the midst of a chaotic day, and definitely much needed. I appreciated her going out of her way to check in on us. I hope she felt supported as well!

Substack is definitely the same kind of vibe, so supportive. I am so grateful for it!

So beautiful Hunter! Wishing you better, it sounds like you are doing all the right things. And yes to supportive comments from others who truly ‘see’ you and everything you are doing/being. I remember when a lady came up to me in our local cafe in the early days of having two to tell me I was doing a great job, it brought tears to my eyes! That validation! I also did some solo travel with little ones this week, despite the challenges I found it felt surprisingly empowering. Much love to you x

It's really so validating when someone recognizes you and the job you're doing, isn't it? I love that! I definitely need to make it a priority of mine to recognize other parents while out and about too. A small comment truly goes a long way. Thank you for sharing!

It really is, I think because so much of what we do is unseen, the millions of tiny (and not so tiny) moments that often go unrecognised (even by ourselves!) Yes absolutely agree, me too!

You're so right. It's an invisible job in that way, but ends up being such an important one (if not THE most important one!).

oooh the joy of starting a new book: my daughter and I went to the library a couple of days ago and got out so many new books, such a joy! Two from me: 1. my boys playing independently but happily next to each other, both lost in their own imaginations (they're 1 and 7). 2. the first taste of the chocolate cake we made today!

Those two moments sound so magical, indeed! I love that your boys were able to have that connection with each other even with the age gap. Beautiful. And that chocolate cake sounds divine, enjoy a slice for me! Xx

I also love those crisp mornings. I had missed them while traveling in the eastern US.

This morning I was delighted by two snails crossing the sidewalk as I walked my dog.

I am very impatiently waiting for the crisp mornings that arrive here in North Florida in October, but I don't know how much longer I can take this insane heat. 😵‍💫 It was 121 degrees Fahrenheit when I got in my car earlier today. Like, no thank you.

I love that you saw those two snails crossing, how special! It's so easy to try and rush the morning dog walk, but noticing those tiny moments make it so magical. Thank you for sharing!
