We’re away on holiday this week in the Lake District - our first trip with our nearly 5-month-old son. We’ve had some of the most perfect autumn days: crisp and cool with wide blue skies. We also had the first frost of the year which I got to experience out on an morning walk one day when baba decided to start the morning early. Walking through the frosted fields with my son snuggled against my chest in his carrier and our springer spaniel cavorting around my feet has been one of many magical, mundane moments this week.✨
Mmm, I feel like I'm right there with you, Jen! The Lake District is one of my favorite places in the whole world. How beautiful you get to share it with your sweet new baby!! Thank you so much for sharing this magically mundane moment with us.
Oh Hunter you are the loveliest for sharing my heart work! Thank you! And I so enjoyed our session together, can’t wait to see all the magic you create!
The Pringles made me laugh... when I was pregnant with Vesper I survived for a good few weeks eating only salt and vinegar Pringles dipped in Philadelphia cream cheese... and now everytime we see Pringles in the shops Sophia points them out and says look Mummy your crisps!! It’s probably the only time in my life I’ve eaten them and that’s a lasting memory for S now!!! 🤪🤪🤪
That course sounds fascinating... I would love to do something like that. Must not sign up for anything new this year though!!!!! 🤪
Ohh loved reading about Kori’s courses you signed up for Hunter! Her bid cast is also an amazing resource!
Have you done any of the movement work on yourself and seen the impact as well?
I have been following her for a few years but never purchased her courses as I have the nutrition knowledge and also a fair bit of fascia and movement through all my trainings but since I don’t have children yet I can’t tell the impact on others through the work I do.
My partner can definitely see how my body has shifted with bow spring movement and the online classes I’ve been doing with Amanda!
Can’t wait to see how it goes for you and what you share about the courses and impact. So curious and would absolutely love to keep this conversation going 🥰
Oh wow!! I love this Carmen! So cool how you've been on a similar journey. Kori's podcast is amazing, I hope she brings it back soon!
I love that. There are a lot of couples without kids in the new course too, so it'll be interesting to hear their experience!
Love that you've been doing bowspring with Amanda! There are two bowspring classes in the course that she does so I'm excited to try them out! I have a feeling this is going to have a big impact on our family over the next year.
Yes!! We'll have to connect over email or something to keep each other updated!
Yes please keep me posted on how the movement and rest of the course goes for you. So happy for what’s ahead of you!
I was so close to purchasing it but knew that right now I need to do less, less courses, less screen time etc and really tap into what my body already knows.
Really missing the community aspect of this journey though, guess that’s why I was drawn to the courses. If you ever want to catch up on the content or journey you can email me : carmen.boeckeler@gmail.com 🥰 will also try find you on insta although I’m not really logging in much at the moment.
Fab round up, thank you Hunter. And yes to food struggles/surrender with toddlers, I sometimes feel I should be doing better but at the same time their relationship with food is the most important to me so I avoid forcing anything! Anyway, thank you also for the opportunity to reflect on the week, so many tender moments, lots of snuggles with little ones and the delight when they received origami letters from their cousins in Japan! xx
Thank you, Lyndsay! Oh yes, I definitely want her to have a positive relationship with food so am trying. Thankfully she typically eats a wide variety so hopefully this is just a phase 😂
Oh wow, origami letters sound so fun!! Thanks for sharing!
Yes, found that my daughter who once ate everything is much more narrow in what she eats these days (though sometimes she finds something she loves, like lentils the other day which was a win!) I think it is proven to be a phase in toddler-hood, an evolutionary thing that they veer towards food that appears 'safe' in this stage of their development! xx
Ah the always consuming courses not always integrating, I can fall into too! Though I have pulled back on courses over the years, but there was a while there, especially when my babies were super young I was consuming a lot… I think my postpartum brain needed it or something too! Always love these round-ups!
Yes!! I wonder if it was my way to anchor in during the uncertainty of having a baby? I feel like there must be some psychoanalysis I could do on myself to figure it out. Haha
These things are never mundane, they make up the rich tapestry of life...and, when times are difficult, its these things we cling to... And so relate to the lunchbox experience...!

That sounds perfect, we are heading up to the Lake District tomorrow to a place we've been ever since our boys were babies. It's such a special place.
Ah so jealous! Enjoy!!
It is special indeed - a beautiful part of the world. Enjoy your trip!
Oh the Lake District has my heart!! Can’t wait to take the girls there one day! X

Hahaha that's amazing!! It's crazy how you so addicted to a certain combo when pregnant 😂
Ah I know, I've put a course ban on myself for the entirety of 2024 haha
Thank you!!
The shadow picture is beautiful! ✨
What’s magical this week in our mundane is how cosy the cottage is after coming in from the stormy school run.
I loved how it turned out too! Just on my phone while we were on a walk :)
Oooh that sounds dreamy. I hope there are candles lit and tea!

Podcast I mean 😅 my auto correct is so confused because I constantly jump between languages
Hahah oh gosh, I knew what you meant 😂

Loved this Hunter and I'm adding the book recommendation to my reading list right now! I loved Normal People 💜
