Thank you for the mention lovely! I still love reading these posts. Maybe if you wanted to mix them up a bit you could add some advice on how your readers could simplify their lives or notice and enjoy their own simple moments? Just a suggestion 😊
I really enjoy your writing. My magical mundane of the week. Playing board games with the family. I've been working on living slowly too and finding my spot with it. This week I only thought 3 yoga classes not 5 and loved all the space it brought
Thank you so much! I love that. Board games with family is so much fun! And I love that you're trying out what it feels like to implement a slower pace and feeling into what works for you. Can't wait to hear more about your journey!
Thank you I want to write about it - February 2024 will be mt first full year of working for myself stay at home mama think that will be a perfect time for a one year at home
A friend recently told me about a beautiful experiment. A pre-school was located right next door to a nursing home, so they decided to see what would happen if they temporarily moved the kids in with the oldies. Apparently the elderly just flourished, some who hadn't left their seats in months were up and about playing with the little ones. It is magical to hear of that special relationship in your family and I can't wait to read more. Xx
Oh wow, this is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing with me, Sarah. That's exactly how we're feeling here too. I really do think having Maverick around has been able to lift my Grandma's spirits so much. I'm excited to see it continue.
Thanks for sharing, Hunter. From someone who's done the slow living thing for well over a decade now - you absolutely DO embody slow living. The trouble is, the way the slow movement has filtered down to the mainstream via social media influencers has skewed it away from its original identity into something very specific, esoteric and frankly - superficial. If you are looking for a more rooted take on slowness, I highly recommend Carl Honoré's book In Praise of Slow. He's a Slow Movement OG. It will give you a much better idea of what Slowness was intended to be in the beginning of the movement.
Thank you for this, Stacey! I read his book right at the beginning of my journey, but now that you've mentioned it I should pick it up again to be reminded! Love your wisdom behind slow living!
I’m glad you’ve touched on slow living culture as my take on it is similar. For me, it’s about being intentional, taking deliberate action, and creating with purpose. I wrote a piece about cultivating a slow brand which I must share with you!
Yes definitely agree! And I've found myself beginning to say intentional living more, so maybe that's more of the direction I'll head in. I just really connect with the slow living term for some reason. Oooh yes please share!!
I love these pieces as they are! They always make me smile and feel connected to you. I did have to smile about the English rain though... we have had a lot of it recently and I am kind of over it! Ha! X
Aw thank you so much, Claire! That's a great idea. Maybe I can take 5 photos of magically mundane moments throughout the week and add them here! You've got me thinking now. Haha
I told you about my year long photo exchange of the same title right? I wouldn’t even mind if it were old photos I just love seeing photos here. There could be less of everything in life and more photos for me. I’m fascinated! I also think I miss Instagram being like that! ✨
Ohh! You know, I remember right when I first joined seeing one of your posts come up about that, I need to go back and read them!! You should do it again :)
Sending much I’ve to you and your grandmother, Hunter! Celebrating the magical moments you have together, moments of deep connection that really comes through in your beautiful storytelling. Treasure them, they are gold ❤️
Of course my heart beats for your child coloring away to her heart’s content — this image had me grin “out loud” as I think of my own little one’s killer pencil strokes (which mostly land outside the piece of paper 😂). But the part where you talk about your grandma has really touched me. I will look forward to reading the piece that arises from your reflections on the matter and I am very glad your little one has had a chance to bond with her great-grandmother. Our elders’ stories and memories are such a precious gift and I wish I had been in a more thoughtful and present age when I lost mine in my very early twenties. If I could go back I would also listen intently and ask questions ♥️
Mmm all these things are a soothing tonic for my soul, thank you for sharing 🤍
I must say though, a bright autumn day is everything for me right now. This morning I took a walk in the woods with my dog and watched the sunlight dapple through the trees. It was so beautiful and a wonderful relief from the dreary wet days we’ve had recently! I do hear you on those gloomy days though, they’re super cosy... just not yet please 😆

Of course, it was such a wonderful read! And oooh, I really love that idea! Thank you Molly!!

Oh, that sounds like a book I’d enjoy 😊 Thanks for sharing that recommendation Stacey!

Aw thank you, so glad you enjoy them! Hahaha oh gosh I'm sure you're over it! We just get rain for a few days at a time and it's a nice little break.
Always love your writing and storytelling! I would love more photos (only because you asked and you’re such a beautiful artist) ✨

Photos are so transportive in storytelling!
Aw yay. I just love the captures of the mundane.
Yes I have one called So…Darling to share… I’m thinking December. It’s a super short series like a sequel to The Magic Mundane exchange with Sarah. ✨✨
That's amazing!! Oh I can't wait to see what you two share, how fun! Also love the name!
Nice one on slow living and productivity. Will give it a read. Beautiful post ❤️
Thanks, Paolo! So glad you enjoyed it!
