Telluride looks so beautiful! I lived in Denver for two years in my 20s, and one of my *biggest* regrets is not making the journey to visit that part of Colorado. And how exciting about Maverick's new words – I'm only three months into motherhood and already so stressed by milestones (thanks, TikTok algorithm), this is such a sweet and timely reminder that our little ones are indeed all on their own unique, beautiful timelines 🤍
It's so beautiful! My sister is living in Denver now so part of the reason we came out was so that she could easily meet us here (it's a 6 hour drive!). You'll definitely have to visit someday!!
Oh gosh I get it! I would get so sucked into milestones and such, especially in the first year, and the funny thing is that Maverick was just on her own timeline always. She was super late to crawl, then one day just started crawling, then was super late to walk and started walking the day before the appointment where they were going to put her into physical therapy 😂
Now she's got until April to start really speaking (before we start speech therapy) and I guarantee you she'll start talking right before the appointment. Haha
These kids humble us, that's for sure! But I just always try to remember that my husband and I are the only experts on our daughter, and my intuition for what's best for her is stronger than any book, doctor, or expert could ever suggest for me. Hope motherhood is treating you well so far! It's a beautiful and hard journey.
Our youngest is 2.5 and just beginning to use more than a few words. Our oldest was an earlier talker, but the youngest just wanted to move and follow his sister! It's so great seeing what they value and watching them learn at their own pace.
Oh the snow!!!! It looks stunning. Our babies really do show us just how unique everyone is... they work to their own beautiful pace.
I’ve always been superstitious about magpies and know the rhyme well... we have so many around here. Love you are seeing all the pairs. Have a beautiful time and thank you for sharing always xxx
My 2-year old also isn’t saying much but every time I hear her voice, whether it’s words I understand or don’t, it thrills my heart with so much joy. Maybe it’s *we* who don’t understand *them.* Hope you enjoy your time in CO!
