Simply sitting in the bed and petting a tiny dog ๐ถ that Iโm caring for this week. He is joined by an overweight and anxious female. Love them both. Since itโs been years of having a baby in my arms, I am savoring the warmth and the calming presence. Simple things indeed. ๐๐พ
Ahh the washing up! Part of my morning routine is emptying our dishwasher while the kettle boils. Then itโs onto coffee prep. We used to have a whistling kettle so it was a focused race against the whistle - like a fun challenge! Itโs felt strange being away from all that on holiday!
So donuts! Never had the opportunity to eat them for breakfast BUT I would imagine that would be SO nice! For me theyโve been a holiday food or hot from a vending van on a walk round the markets. ๐
Luna was around 16 months when she walked she did three steps to the gate of the park and then didnโt bother again for a couple of weeks. Itโs such magic ๐ช sending you all the stable vibes for this week.
Thanks SO SO much for the shout out - it means the word. โจ๐๐ช
Haha I definitely try to do as many mundane tasks as I can while the kettle boils each morning too. It's definitely a fun challenge! I hope you had a wonderful holiday!!
What is this world where donuts are not a breakfast food? This is so wild to me! Hahah live and learn.
Aww that's so sweet. Maverick is doing lots of little steps, hoping she'll let go soon enough!
Of course! Get ready because you have another shoutout in my Sunday email I just finished writing ๐. You have too many wise words I need to share!
The headache is, dare I say it, almost gone! ๐๐ป
Oh, I might have to agree with your husband there. Donuts are a treat for me. My son doesnโt really like birthday cake so we always buy him Krispy Kreme donuts and stick candles in those instead ๐คฃ.
Sending lots of walking wishes your way too! Youโve got this Maverick! ๐ค
Of course, loved your post! And so glad your headache is almost gone!!
Wowow, this is blowing my mind ๐ So you view them as more of a dessert? We literally have a breakfast place down the street from our house called Donut Hole. Maybe this is a cultural difference? I'm fascinated. Haha
What?? This is crazy! I actually have a dairy intolerance so I hardly ever eat them now, but I grew up with my Abuelo (Spanish grandfather) picking up donuts in the morning whenever he was visiting. And they're usually just a breakfast option around here, like picking up pastries to bring home. That's how we normally do them. We have soo many different types of fillings! Vanilla cream, strawberry jam, chocolate, on and on and on. They are definitely extremely sugary and maybe this is why we're known as such an unhealthy country? Hahah wow it's all coming together now for me.
What?! I always thought donuts were a quintessential breakfast food, this blows my mind ๐ Do you eat them as a dessert? And thank you, so excited to see those little legs moving!
I think the only time Iโve had a donut for breakfast was at an all you can eat breakfast buffet on holiday. I consider them a snack though really. Is it plain donuts or flavoured youโre having for breakfast?
Haha that makes sense!! We do plain and flavored! All different kinds. I'm going to have to start polling my American friends to see if I'm just crazy, but I always thought this was a breakfast food! Haha

Aww that sounds magical. There's nothing quite like having a furry friend or two cuddled up against you! So sweet. Thanks for sharing, Blythe!

๐คฃ yes, definitely a dessert. How do you have them for breakfast? What sort of fillings do you have? Iโm intrigued!
The only donuts I eat are sugary or glazed donuts so not something youโd typically have for breakfast.

Mmmm they do sound yummy actually! ๐คค
I do find the norms of different cultures so fascinating!
It's so fascinating, for sure!
Iโd have cake for breakfast but donuts seem too extra?! And all the walking vibes heading your way! Those little wobbles are magic! Good luck

Oh you're brave!! I bet the wind was strong too. At least spring is inching closer and you'll be out there every day in no time!!
